If you are arriving over 30 minutes earlier or later than your confirmed time stated for your drop off on your rental agreement you will need to contact us. Failure to do so will result in a €10 fine every 30 minutes you are late, as we work by the times stated on your booking, our staff are not always based at the airport all day, only for booking times. (All it takes is a phone call)

Age

All drivers must be between the ages of 25 and 70. Drivers between the ages of 25 and 29 & 71 and 75, can still hire a vehicle from us, but will require additional insurance.

Rental Lengths

While the average customer hire length is between 1-2 weeks, we do offer long-term rentals. You will need to contact us regarding any rentals lasting for 3 weeks or longer.

If you require a car for only a few days, please note that even though we do not have a minimal time you can hire a vehicle we do have a minimal charge time of 3 days.

Booking Details

If you wish to amend your booking details, you will need to do this via phone or email. If you do make any changes to your booking please email us to advise at RM.CarHire22@gmail.com

Documents Required

To drive a RM Car Hire vehicle you must provide at the time of hire, an original full driving license, passport and rental agreement.

Payment
At the time of booking, you will initially pay a €100 deposit, which confirms the booking. The remaining amount will need to be paid on your arrival.

The €100 deposit, will then be returned to you 14 working days after the hire is finished, once all checks are completed on the vehicle, as well as fine checks.

Cancellation & Refunds

To confirm your booking, you are required to pay a deposit of €100. If you cancel your booking within 7 working days prior to your arrival date you will not receive your €100 deposit back. Any changes you make to your booking please let us know via email at info@rmcarhire.com or RM.CarHire22@gmail.com. If you need to cancel your booking you need to contact us via this email address to confirm your cancellation.

CDW
The CDW (Collision Damage Wavier) is included within the price shown online. The CDW (Collision Damage Wavier) does not cover loss of keys, tyres, traffic fines, incorrect fuel or any damage or loss of the radio equipment. The CDW is also made void if you fail to comply with any of your T&C’s meaning that you will be responsible for any damages to the car and for their repair.

Traffic Violations
Any traffic violations or parking offences or any breach of laws, rules or local regulations will be paid in full by the hirer plus an additional €20 administration fee.

Alcohol and Drugs
The hirer is fully responsible of the value of the vehicle, if it is found that the driver is involved in any kind of any incident or accident and is above the legal limits.

Breakdown
In the unlikely event of a breakdown, please contact our 24 hour emergency breakdown cover +34 711 026 517.

Accidents

In the event of an accident you have to notify RM Car Hire immediately on our contact number +34 711 026 517. You will need to stay with the vehicle at all times. You must take full details of all parties involved. Do not admit or accept responsibility for the accident unless you are 100% sure and understand everything that you are signing. Do not abandon the vehicle, Inform the police immediately of accident details or any injuries, police can be contacted on 112. If you fail to perform any of these steps will lead to your insurance being void leaving you responsible for all damages and repair costs.

Driving Restrictions
The vehicle cannot be taken out of mainland Spain.

Hirers agreement to rent a car contract

  1. Any damage to tyre or wheels are at the expense of the renter do not remove rental agreements or official documents from the vehicle.
  2. If the vehicle is not returned in a reasonable condition as it was collected, the renter will be charged for a full valet of 30€ and any additional repairs will be charged accordingly.
  3. Loss of car keys will be charged at 300€. This is not covered by your insurance excess waiver.

Use of the vehicle
The vehicle hired to the hirer shall be the sole responsibility of the hire for duration of the rental period of the rental agreement contract, the following applies to all rentals:
Only those named on the rental agreement have permission to drive the vehicle.
It is not permitted to use the vehicle to transport goods.
It is not permitted to use the vehicle to tow other vehicles.
It is not permitted to use the vehicle to participate in races, competitions or challenges.
It is not permitted to use the vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs or any other cause which may impair the ability to drive the car in a correct manner.

It is not permitted to use the vehicle to transport any pets/animals.
It is not permitted to smoke in any of our vehicles.

It is not permitted to use the vehicle to transport more passengers than law allows.

It is not permitted to modify the car in anyway, this included removal of any stickers on/in the car.

RM Car Hire is not responsible for personal belongings being left inside the car during any time of a rental. As this not covered by our CDW.

Fuel
Our fuel policy is that you receive the vehicle with a full tank and you are required to return the vehicle with a full tank. If the car is not returned with a full tank, the hirer is responsible for the cost of refueling the car plus an administration fee of 25€. The car must be refueled within 5km of the airport to which it’s being returned. If your rental vehicle is filled with the wrong fuel you will be charged €350 plus the full refueling of the vehicle.

Fines
All traffic fines will be charged to the hirer including a 25€ administration fee, the cost of any missing tools and tyres. If your flight is delayed and you arrive between the hours of 23:00 – 07:00 there will be a €40 charge.

Please return your rental vehicle in a reasonable condition or the hirer will be charged a full valet clean up to the value of €100.
